It's been so easy for me to get complacent with my It's been so easy for me to get complacent with my health and fitness routine while home due to COVID. At the office, I had a nice routine of going to the gym there and our family would go to the Y regularly. While the Y just reopened, you have to be at least 13 to work out or swim. Running has been my safe haven, but it's getting so HOT! My push is to get myself up early before the heat and before my hubby leaves for work. What push do you need?
My kids have been on a popsicle craze (and who can My kids have been on a popsicle craze (and who can blame them when it's SO HOT out!). It's SO EASY to make your own at home using just fresh or frozen fruit. We blended some frozen dragonfruit, strawberries, and pomegranate, with some fresh blueberries and blackberries, along with some coconut water and froze for a few hours. Delicious! What's your favorite frozen treat?
I never understood the appeal of virtual races bef I never understood the appeal of virtual races before COVID quarantine, but racing companies have been coming up with very unique race themes, medals, shirts, and sponsors. This past week, I participated in @ffstl America's Birthday 5k and this medal actually serves as a bottle opener. About a week before the race, they shipped me the medal, along with a personalized racing bib. I could run the race anytime between July 1-7 and upload my time to their website. You could actually win real prizes by submitting screenshots of your favorite running app. Have you ran any virtual races?

I've been loving the Fleet Feet Running Club's wee I've been loving the Fleet Feet Running Club's weekly challenges! I've been part of a virtual marathon relay and cheered on my friends running the 50k relay and participating in the Presidential Fitness Challenge (among other challenges), but this last weekend's challenge was a true challenge to me. 25k in 4 days #4Day25K Participants were to run a 3k, 5k, 7k, and 10k over 4 consecutive days. None of the distances by themselves was the challenge, the challenge was finding time over 4 consecutive days to get the runs in. I've been so proud of myself, for I've been getting up and running before my husband leaves for work. Then taking a quick shower before I start working from home. I started with the 7k on the kickoff Wednesday, then moved down to the 3k, 5k, leaving the 10k for Saturday when I'd have more time available. It was HOT!!! But I got it done!
School (aka eLearning) ended early. Summer camps h School (aka eLearning) ended early. Summer camps have been canceled. I'm working from home through at least June 30. But what I love about my son is that he can always find ways to learn new things. Sure, he watches a LOT of YouTube, but most of it is educational. He loves history and space. And building things, whether out of legos, blocks, or tying to carve this log 😂. What will you be doing with your kids this summer?
I've been loving this weather lately (as long as i I've been loving this weather lately (as long as it's not raining)! Sitting outside, reading, while the kids jump on the trampoline. It's so important for us moms to take a break from the work, the picking up, schoolwork, and just take a moment for ourselves. I love watching my kids play and get along. Find what works for you. Maybe a walk, bath, journaling, meditation. How do you take time for yourself?

Using frozen fruit we already had (raspberries, pineapple, strawberries, and mango), I blended it with unsweetened almond milk and froze. Super easy! And the kids loved!
