School (aka eLearning) ended early. Summer camps have been canceled. I'm working from home through at least June 30. But what I love about my son is that he can always find ways to learn new things. Sure, he watches a LOT of YouTube, but most of it is educational. He loves history and space. And building things, whether out of legos, blocks, or tying to carve this log 😂. What will you be doing with your kids this summer?

I've been loving this weather lately (as long as it's not raining)! Sitting outside, reading, while the kids jump on the trampoline. It's so important for us moms to take a break from the work, the picking up, schoolwork, and just take a moment for ourselves. I love watching my kids play and get along. Find what works for you. Maybe a walk, bath, journaling, meditation. How do you take time for yourself?

My son dug these molds out of the drawer and they were SO cute, I couldn't pass up making some smoothie pops! Using frozen fruit we already had (raspberries, pineapple, strawberries, and mango), I blended it with unsweetened almond milk and froze. Super easy! And the kids loved!

Super thankful for @ffstl and the #TogetherWeMove

Super thankful for @ffstl and the #TogetherWeMove challenge! Today is Day #25 of 42 and so far I have ran/walked 36.87 miles and climbed 847 feet in elevation. I started out strong, moving nearly every day, but since the hubby went back to work it's tough to get out with 2 little ones at home. I'm down to about once a week, which is more than I was doing before the challenge. How are you getting your fitness in during #quarantine?

Earlier this week, I scheduled a 5-mile run to meet the St. Jude challenge as part of the Rock 'n' Roll Virtual Running Club. To start with, it was raining, then I got a hard knot in my stomach around mile 2. It's those things that normally cause me to stop, or not even start at all. But remembering that I was running for the kids at St Jude, that was all the motivation I needed to keep going. I can run, while many of them cannot. ⁣
⁣
For my 5th year, I'll be running during the St Jude Memphis Marathon weekend as a St Jude Hero this December. I love knowing that no family ever receives a bill for medical care, lodging, transportation, or meals while they are in Memphis. As they say, the only thing a family should worry about is helping their child get better.⁣
⁣
